This season has thus far been something of a disaster for South Wales side Swansea City. The Swans currently sit at the foot of the Premier League table thanks to an utterly appalling record both at home and away. In front of their home fans they have lost seven of their eleven Premier League outings and having dispensed with the services of Paul Clement, they now have to rely on a new manager who has no Premier League experience in the form of Carlos Carvalhal.

The Swans threw themselves a lifeline when they won 2-1 at Watford in their final outing of 2017, however they failed to maintain the momentum and crashed to a 2-0 home defeat to Spurs. This was followed by a dismal 0-0 draw with high-flying Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday and it is no surprise to see the /free-bets price them at 1/4 to drop down to the second tier at the end of 2017/18.

Second favourites for the drop are West Bromwich Albion, the Baggies just one of six sides to have dispensed with the services of their manager, Alan Pardew being brought in to replace Tony Pulis.

Prior to the start of the season, Huddersfield Town were firm favourites for the drop following their shock promotion to the Premier League, however they have succeeded in confounding their critics by putting in some decent performances, the best of which was certainly their win at home to Manchester United.

Brighton & Hove Albion are also enjoying some unexpected success in their first ever Premier League campaign and while they failed to register a single win in their first three outings, they now appear to have found their feet and we believe that they can escape the drop this season.

Crystal Palace made what was the worst start to a Premier League campaign by any club, however Roy Hodgson is now the man in charge and he has steered the side to safety thanks to some excellent results. The Eagles started the season with no goals and no points from their first seven league games, however while they are still close to the danger zone, they now look to have stumbled upon a winning formula and we don't expect them to drop back into the bottom three anytime soon.
