National League side Sutton United are sitting quietly in a mid-table position following their promotion from National League South at the end of 2015/16, however their FA Cup exploits have been far more impressive. The South Londoners thrashed Dartford 6-3 in the first round of the competition before defeating League Two side Cheltenham Town 2-1 in the following round. Wimbledon were held to a goal-less draw last week and it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for the Amber and Chocolates to progress in the competition at the expense of the Dons this evening.
Sutton United are one of only two sides left in the FA Cup this season and they will be confident of following up their goal-less draw at Kingsmeadow with victory this evening. AFC Wimbledon will have other ideas however and whilst they certainly slipped up against their non-league opponents in the original tie, they bounced back with a 2-1 League One win over Oxford United and will be looking to make it two on the bounce this evening.
Wimbledon are averaging two goals per match at home this season (as opposed to under one goal per match away from Kingsmeadow), therefore the misfiring display we witnessed at Gander Green Lane shouldn't be repeated in this replay. Indeed we expect it to be pretty much one-way traffic in tonight's clash and a Dons win by over one goal looks the best bet at Kingsmeadow.
