Back-to-back victories over north-east sides Middlesbrough and Sunderland have sent the Cherries soaring up the Premier League table and they now have a realistic chance of finishing the campaign in the top-half of the division, a huge achievement for the south-coast club were it to happen. Another three points at Dean Court on Saturday afternoon would keep Eddie Howe’s men on course for such a finish to the season and we certainly fancy their chances of getting one over on Stoke City in front of the expectant home fans.
Bournemouth’s recent form makes for mixed reading although whilst they have won only four of their last eight Premier League outings, the matches which they didn’t win were against teams in the upper reaches of the Premier League. Draws against the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool away from home are not to be sniffed at and as such we have little hesitation in backing the Cherries to keep the three points at Dean Court this weekend.
For their part, Stoke City have endured a pretty miserable season so far and with just a solitary win in their last eight Premier League outings – this being against struggling Hull City – we’re not expecting them to cause Bournemouth too many problems in this clash. Indeed the Potters have been utterly disappointing away from the Bet365 Stadium and having gone their last two games without finding the back of the net, we’ll be going for a Bournemouth win-to-nil this weekend at odds of 10/3.
