Brighton's first ever season in the Premier League has been far from successful although the Seagulls sit twelfth in the league table as things stand. This is certainly far better than many pundits predicted and while Chris Hughton's men are still dangerously close to the bottom three in the table, the evidence suggests that they will live to fight another day in the top-flight. The south-coast side have enjoyed some excellent results of late, not least their 4-1 thrashing of Swansea City last weekend and they will be in pretty high spirits ahead of their weekend meeting with the Gunners at the Amex Stadium.

For Arsene Wenger's men, this has been something of a frustrating campaign thus far and they have certainly failed miserably to live-up to their lofty expectations. Sixth position in the Premier League table isn't what the fans will have been hoping for and with the gap between themselves and the top-four continuing to widen, the chances of clinching a place in next season's Champions League is looking ever more remote.

The Gunners fans will have been hoping to see their side lift some silverware last weekend, however Manchester City had other ideas and following a comprehensive 3-0 win for the Citizens in the Carabao Cup Final, Arsene Wenger's men went home empty-handed. The fans are once again becoming pretty vocal in their frustration with Wenger coming under a large amount of criticism and in our opinion, the Seagulls are looking pretty well-placed to take something from this match. Hughton's side have been taken apart by some of the larger sides in the Premier League this term, however the Gunners have been dismantled by some of the smaller ones and they have been less than impressive on their travels. Brighton look very strong in front of their home supporters and we're going to push the boat out and side with the hosts to inflict more misery upon the Gunners by sending them home with nothing for their troubles on Sunday.
