Bristol City finished the 2016/17 campaign just three points above the relegation zone following what was a pretty disappointing season, however they have started the current campaign in impressive fashion and having collected four points from their opening three games, they will be confident of adding to this points haul by winning at home on Saturday against a Millwall side which have managed just a single point from their opening three games.
The Lions went down 1-0 at Nottingham Forest in their opening game of 2017/18 and whilst they swept past Stevenage 2-0 in last week's EFL Cup match at the Den, they could only manage a 1-1 draw with Bolton in their following outing and lost 3-4 at home to Ipswich Town at the weekend. This doesn't bode to well ahead of this weekend's clash with a Robins side which managed a hard-fought draw at Brentford on Tuesday evening, City's Josh Brownhill opening the scoring in the fifth minute and Bobby Reid scoring their second in the eighth minute of stoppage time at Griffin Park.
Indeed Lee Johnson's side are odds-on to win at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon although at 19/20 this still represents excellent value given Millwall's dismal form in recent outings. The Lions remain amongst the favourites to drop straight back down to League One at the first time of asking and we're of the opinion that their winless run will continue in Bristol this weekend and they will also fail to get their names onto the scoresheet, a City win-to-nil representing excellent value at odds of 13/5 with BetVictor.
