Tottenham Hotspur head back to Premier League action following the international break and they will be eager to consolidate their second-place by hitting the ground running when they face the Clarets this weekend.
Sean Dyche’s Burnley were widely tipped to be relegation candidates at the end of the season and whilst they aren’t necessarily safe from the drop, the eight points between themselves and the bottom three would suggest that they have little to worry about as we head rapidly towards the end of the season.
That said, they face a huge test this weekend when high-flying Tottenham Hotspur come to town and the Clarets have been struggling of late with just three points picked up from their last six Premier League outings. They head into this weekend clash with Spurs on the back of a 0-0 draw with struggling Sunderland and successive defeats to Liverpool and Swansea City. Not impressive stuff by any means.
As such, it is hardly rocket science to predict a Tottenham Hotspur victory at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon and the odds on offer certainly reflect this with most firms going just 13/20 on an away victory. As meagre as these odds appear, they will almost certainly provide the punter with a winning return, however with the Clarets scoring in all but two of their last twelve competitive matches and Spurs less than solid in defence, we’ll also be backing both nets to be bulging in this clash.
