The Clarets were many punters’ picks to be heading straight back down to the Championship at the end of the season and whilst they kicked off their campaign in less-than-impressive fashion, they have since proven their doubters wrong and look set to be plying their trade at the highest level once again in 2017/18.
Indeed whilst Burnley’s recent form has left a lot to be desired, they ended a three-match winless run by banging in two without reply against an improved Crystal Palace last weekend to earn for themselves a valuable three points. Another victory against the Baggies at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon would end any relegation worries in the Clarets’ camp, however will they manage it?
We believe that they will. Tony Pulis’ side sit in eighth position in the Premier League but the fact is that only five points exist between themselves and Burnley and the visitors aren’t enjoying the best of form at the moment. West Brom have lost each of their last five outings against Watford, Southampton, Liverpool and Leicester City. Whilst they managed to hold Manchester United to a goal-less draw at the start of April, the fact is that the Baggies have now gone 465-minutes of football without scoring a single goal.
Burnley may not have been setting the Premier League alight this season but they have put in some excellent performances at home and we believe that they will have relatively little difficulty in bagging for themselves the three points which will ensure that Premier League football will be returning to Turf Moor at the beginning of next season.
