Eight points separate Chelsea from the rest of the chasing pack and it would be a massive shock were they not to be crowned Premier League champions at the end of the season. Nevertheless they will be looking anxiously over their shoulders after dropping points in their last top-flight outing at Burnley’s Turf Moor two weeks ago and Antonio Conte will be desperate for three more points on Saturday afternoon.
In all honesty, this weekend’s clash with struggling Swansea City should prove to be a relatively straightforward affair. The Swans may have grabbed for themselves some much-needed points recently but they nevertheless sit dangerously close to the relegation zone and we don’t expect this situation to change at the weekend.
Paul Clement’s Swans appear to have turned a corner of late, the 3-2 win at Anfield last month proving to be the catalyst which signalled an upturn in fortunes. Realistically, Clement may not expect his side to secure all three points at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, however he will nevertheless be quietly optimistic that they can manage something for their efforts.
As far as we’re concerned, we expect that Swansea will manage little more than a consolation goal on Saturday. Chelsea are flying high at the moment and whilst they stumbled slightly at Turf Moor in their last top-flight outing, they will be in no mood to drop any points in front of their own home supporters. A win for the hosts is very much in order and with Swansea having few problems in front of goal, our predictions point very much towards a Chelsea win and both teams to score at 21/20 with Coral.
