Coventry City v Bradford City betting preview - Bantams will climb into the play-off places

Bradford City fans will never forget this season, irrespective of what happens now. A win over Premier League title favourites Chelsea and also Sunderland in the FA Cup sees them into the sixth round of the competition and a replay against Championship side Reading following a goalless draw in the original tie at Valley Parade on Saturday afternoon.

As if that wasn't enough, manager Phil Parkinson has steered the side to the verge of the play-offs and a win in the Midlands tonight would be enough to secure the Bantams a position in the top six in League One.

With just two defeats from their last eleven outings including two Premier League scalps, Bradford will be in extremely high spirits coming into this clash and will hardly be concerned about facing a Coventry side which is one of the lowest scoring sides in League One.

Indeed, the Midlands side have just two wins to their name since the turn of the year and sit a mere one point above the relegation zone. Nevertheless, with goals in all but two of their last six outings, Coventry at least appear to have rediscovered the art of scoring and as such, we'll be backing them to find the back of the net tonight.

We can't look past a Bradford win however. The Bantams are looking likely promotion candidates, at least via the play-offs and at odds of 8/5 with Betfred to win they are also pretty backable.

Naturally, this brings us onto goalscorers. James Hanson has been on excellent form this season and with eleven goals to his name he is Bradford's most prolific goalscorer. As such, he represents excellent value at 11/5 to score at some point of this match.
