Big Sam is not a man used to relegation and he will be somewhat worried about the immediate prospects of his Eagles side given their precarious position in the top-flight at the moment. The south London side sit just two points adrift of safety as things stand, however they clearly need to start winning games and given their recent form it is hard to be confident about their chances of achieving this.

The visit of Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon may well present Allardyce's men with a chance to add something to their meagre points total, especially so since Boro are themselves sitting in a somewhat precarious position. The Tees-siders are just two points above the bottom three heading into this weekend's round of fixtures and anything other than victory will be seen as a disappointment by boss Aitor Karanka.

To be honest it is very hard to back either of these sides to secure the three points with even the slightest amount of confidence. Crystal Palace have managed just one win in eleven Premier League outings whilst Middlesbrough are winless in their previous eight top-flight games. Indeed a point apiece wouldn't be a disastrous result for either team to be completely honest and given their inability to grind out wins of late, we'll be backing Crystal Palace v Middlesbrough to end all-square at odds of 9/4 with Paddy Power.

Our tip:Back Crystal Palace v Middlesbrough to end in a draw at 9/4 with Paddy Power.
