Hull City’s predicament seems pretty dismal at the moment but they can improve their situation no need should they manage a maximum points haul on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers sit just three points away from relative safety as things stand and they have managed some excellent results of late, most notably wins over Liverpool and Swansea City as well as a creditable draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
They head into this match on the back of a 4-0 hammering by Everton although this was no huge surprise given that the Toffees are one of the in-form Premier League sides of late and the visit of West Ham United this weekend should prove in theory to be a somewhat easier quest for the Tigers.
The Hammers are hardly struggling but they are far from impressive this season. They have been flirting with the relegation zone at times although now look set to manage a mid-table position at the end of the campaign. Nevertheless their recent form leaves a lot to be desired and they head to the KCOM Stadium on the back of a five-game winless run in which they have secured a measly two points.
Hosts Hull City have been showing signs of improvement and they will be desperate to climb out of the bottom three. They could just achieve this on Saturday afternoon should they collect all three points and Swansea City lose to Middlesbrough the following day. Indeed given West Ham’s form of late, we’ll be backing the home side to grab themselves a lifeline by securing the win in front of their home fans this weekend.
