Things are getting pretty tight in the bottom half of the Scottish Premiership table and rock-bottom side Inverness Caledonian Thistle now find themselves just two points adrift of safety. Nevertheless they will be in for a very tough test on Friday evening when they host third-placed Rangers at the Caledonian Stadium and we cannot see any reason to suggest that the home side will manage anything from this clash.
That said, Rangers are struggling in their pursuit of third place in the top-flight and following a dismal draw against Ross County at Ibrox and defeat to Dundee at Dens Park last weekend, the manager-less side will be desperate top pick up the three points as they attempt to close the gap between themselves and second-placed Aberdeen, currently standing at some six points.
Indeed the Glasgow outfit have failed to win in their last three Premiership matches and the 4-1 defeat to Heart of Midlothian was the catalyst which signalled a downturn in fortunes. Can they bounce back from these recent disappointments by collecting the three points in the Highlands?
We certainly believe that they can. Inverness have been struggling since the start of the season and whilst their overall form has been pretty poor, their performances at the Caledonian Stadium have bene utterly dismal with no wins in front of their own fans since September. Indeed the Highland outfit have only recorded two victories on home turf since the start of the campaign and we certainly don’t expect them to manage a third on Friday evening.
Rangers are hardly enjoying top form at the moment but at 10/11 with William Hill, we have no hesitation in recommending the Light Blues on the outright winner market.
