Dijon v Espanyol match preview and betting tips

Time is fast running out for Dijon and they have a mere five games left to secure their top-flight status for another season. They desperately need some wins on the board and this is something that they have been struggling to achieve throughout their campaign. No wins in their last five outings and just two victories in nineteen matches is a depressing statistic and little wonder that the side sit 18th in the league table some four points from safety.

Can they improve their situation by collecting all three points at home to Espanyol tonight? The visitors don’t enjoy the best away record and this is the reason for their failure to reach the top six at this stage of the campaign, however with three wins from their last five matches we’ll be backing them to do the double over Dijon and push them further into the mire.

Granada v Malaga match preview and betting tips

Granada are in a very precarious position and must win at home to Malaga tonight should they wish to remain in the top flight for another season. They are second bottom of the table with seven points separating them from safety as things stand, however they will have their work cut-out when they face a Malaga outfit which have won all-but-one of their last four games. A win over league leaders Barcelona was part of that excellent run and we see no reason to believe that the visitors won’t collect all three points at Granada tonight.

Atletico Madrid v Villarreal match preview and betting tips

Atletico haven’t suffered a single defeat in their last nine La Liga outings although they trail Real Madrid and Barcelona by seven points as we head towards these midweek matches. Indeed third place is almost certainly the best they can hope for at this late stage of proceedings although this would at least guarantee a place in the Champions League group stages. Sevilla remain hot on their heels however with just three points separating the sides and Atletico need to keep winning.

Can they keep the momentum going against Villarreal tonight? The visitors are enjoying some decent form of late and they are looking good for Europa League football next season, however we’re expecting a home win in this one. Atletico boast the best goals-against home record in the top-flight and Villarreal are hardly banging in the goals with reckless abandon, therefore three points look set to stay at the Vicente Calderon this evening.
