Any Leicester City fans who believed that their side’s victory over the Reds was the start of a turnaround in their fortunes are going to bitterly disappointed. Indeed whilst there were many pundits on Twitter offering their insights into the mentality of the Foxes players following that impressive win, the simple truth is that Liverpool made it pretty easy for the hosts on that occasion. Jurgen Klopp adopted an attacking approach at the King Power Stadium and all Leicester City needed to do was sit back, absorb any pressure and attempt to find Jamie Vardy join the break.
This the Foxes managed with relative ease and it could be said that Klopp’s approach was somewhat naive. Hull City’s Marco Silva is unlikely to make a similar mistake on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers will likely sit back and invite the hosts to have a go at them, then attempt to exploit the gaps that the Foxes are likely to leave. This approach certainly won’t suit Leicester in the slightest and it wouldn’t be a shock to witness the problems that have plagued them throughout the season returning on Saturday afternoon.
Only Chelsea and Arsenal have beaten Hull City in their last six Premier League outings and whilst many believe that the Leicester City players can turn their performances on and off at will whenever they decide, they really aren’t that good. Hull City will bring them down to earth with a bump and drag them back towards the relegation zone.
