Dutch side Ajax are very much on course to clinch for themselves a place in the final of the UEFA Europa League following a fine performance in the semi-final first-leg last week at the Amsterdam Arena. A brace for Bertrand Traore and goals from Amin Younes and Kasper Dolberg were enough to see off a Lyon outfit which could only respond with a single consolation effort and the Dutch side can now look forward to their first major European tournament final in two decades.
Kasper Dolberg has been on fine form this season with 21 goals to his name across all competitions and we believe that the Teenage sensation will find the back of the net when Ajax take to the field on Thursday evening in Lyon.
Ajax have triumphed in all-but-two of their last ten outings and they will be aiming to continue this momentum ahead of the Dutch Eredivisie Final this coming weekend where they will need to overcome Willem II and hope that Heracles avoid defeat against Feyenoord in order to regain the domestic title.
Lyon have been pretty poor on the road this season with just a single win in their last six away games, however they are more impressive on home soil, the side having come out on top in all-but-three of their last 14 games at Parc Olympique Lyonnaise and as such they will head into this game as firm odds-on favourites. Indeed whilst a three-goal deficit is too much of a mountain to climb, we believe that Lyon can edge this match and bow out of the competition with a consolation win. Nevertheless with just a single clean sheet in their last eleven outings, we expect the visitors to have their say by finding the net at some point.
