A thoroughly dismal showing by Crystal Palace against Southampton at the weekend saw them slump to their fifth successive Premier League defeat and they sit firmly rooted to the foot of the Premier League with no points and not even a single goal to their name. Little wonder that Roy Hodgson had his head in his hands several times during the latest poor showing.

Indeed the immediate prospects of the Eagles picking up points look pretty poor given that they have a tricky set of fixtures on the horizon. In all honesty, Crystal Palace look very much out of their depth and whilst the / were going 5/1 on Roy Hodgson's side to be relegated prior to the start of the season, they are now just 10/11 with BetVictor Free Bet to make the drop to the Championship at the end of the season.

Crystal Palace face Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea in their next three Premier League outings. It is certainly hard to envisage them picking up any points whatsoever against the top-three in the division and we expect the odds on them being relegated to be cut even further in the coming few weeks.

Newly-promoted Brighton & Hove Albion aren't too far behind the Eagles in the Premier League Relegation market at odds of 11/10 amongst the /. The Seagulls grabbed their first win of the season earlier this month when they defeated West Bromwich Albion 3-1 at the Falmer Stadium but things returned to normal last weekend when they went down 2-1 to AFC Bournemouth.

Fellow newcomers Huddersfield Town started the season with a bang, the Terriers amassing maximum points from their opening two Premier League matches. To be fair they weren't presented with the toughest opposition and wins over the likes of Crystal Palace and Newcastle United were hardly a huge surprise. When presented with opposition of a slightly higher calibre, David Wagner's men have struggled and with just two points collected from their last three Premier League games, it isn't a huge shock to see them drop to just 6/4 to be relegated after just one solitary season in the Premier League.
