QPR v Huddersfield preview - Terriers to collect another three points this weekend

Huddersfield's 2-1 win over Leeds United last weekend lifted them up to fourth in the Championship table and a win on Saturday could see them overtake Reading in the race for the title.

Three Championship wins on the bounce have boosted the Terriers' chances of making it into the automatic promotion places and whilst some six points remain between David Wagner's men and second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion, their recent form suggests that the Championship title race remains wide open.

Brighton and Newcastle United have made the top two positions very much their own this season as they battle it out for top spot, however promotion for either side is far from 'nailed on' with Reading and Huddersfield Town slowly closing the gap.

The Terriers will be confident of closing the gap even further when they travel to Loftus Road for Saturday afternoon's clash with Queens Park Rangers. Ian Holloway's side have distanced themselves from the Championship relegation zone following some decent results of late with league wins over the likes of Reading and Ipswich Town. That said, the hosts are far from consistent both at home and away and head into this clash on the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Blackburn's Ewood Park. This doesn't bode well ahead of the visit of one of the in-form teams in the Championship and as such, odds of 6/5 on a Huddersfield victory are too hard to ignore.

The Terriers have been impressive on the road this season and we don't envisage them suffering a defeat in front of their expectant travelling fans this weekend. QPR have been less impressive at Loftus Road this season with just one home win since November this and another defeat for Holloway's side could see them moving closer to the relegation zone this weekend.
