AS Roma and PSG go head-to-head in their opening International Champions Cup match on Thursday and we’re expecting a closely-fought clash at Detroit Central High School. The French runners-up head into this match following an eight-week break after winning the Coupe de France courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Angers in May. They certainly possess the edge over Roma in terms of strength in depth and they will be eager to bounce back following what was a disappointing Ligue 1 campaign.
Nevertheless Roma will be no pushovers and they head into this meeting having enjoyed some excellent form on the goalscoring front. They defeated Pinzolo Campiglio to the tune of 8-0 although they will face a much tougher task against Paris Saint Germain this week and it looks as though we’re in for a tight affair.
The French outfit have conceded just a solitary goal in their previous four games and in two of those outings we saw two or less goals scored. AS Roma have been involved in a few thrilling encounters in recent weeks, although on this occasion we’re expecting things to be pretty tight at the back as the two sides concentrate on defensive solidity above all else and as such, we have little hesitation in backing Under 2.5 goals at the final whistle at odds of 13/10 with BetVictor.
