St Mirren have been relegated, Hearts have been promoted, the big question is who will also be making the big move either up or down at the end of the season.
The big money has been heading towards Rangers gaining promotion to the top flight, however the Light Blues are as big as 5/2 to be playing in the top tier of the Scottish game next term. Nevertheless, Rangers have been in decent form of late and will be eager to overtake Hibs into second place in the Championship table.
The third Championship team in the mix is Queen of the South. Queens have enjoyed an excellent season and recorded two home defeats against Rangers, scoring five goals without reply over the two games. They also posted a win against Hibs in their last meeting with the Edinburgh side and will be confident that they have what it takes to make the rise up to the Scottish Premier League, even though their Palmerston Park ground falls well short of the top-flight criteria.
Motherwell finished the season a disappointing second bottom, a far cry from their success of 2013/14 when they finished second to Celtic and qualified for a European place. They have struggled with a somewhat depleted squad for much of the season, however remain favourites amongst the play-off contenders to remain in the top flight for at least another season.
