The Scottish Premiership action returns with a full line-up of fixtures on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and we take a look at who we believe will be the likely winners and losers.
Heart of Midlothian managed their first home win since returning to Tynecastle when they edged past Motherwell at the weekend and we expect them to make it two on the bounce in front of their home fans when they lock horns with Dundee on Tuesday evening, while Ross County will be in for a tough time when they face a Kilmarnock side which put five past hapless Partick Thistle last time out.
Celtic remain top of the pile and it is hard to imagine anyone knocking them off top spot before the end of the season. They were forced to a share of the spoils when surrendering a two-goal lead at Easter Road last time out but there’s little evidence to suggest that they will slip-up for a second consecutive time when they lock horns with Hamilton Academical at Parkhead on Wednesday evening.
Aberdeen have surrendered second place in the Premiership to Rangers following back-to-back defeats to the Gers, however the Dons made a return to winning ways at Dens Park on Friday evening and we expect them to give a good account of themselves when they face St Johnstone in Perth on Wednesday.
Rangers will be looking to further cement their top-two position when they travel to Hibernian while rock-bottom side Partick Thistle face Motherwell at Firhill in the other two games on Wednesday evening.
Who will be the winners and losers on Tuesday and Wednesday? Here’s what we think…
