- Inter Milan v Roma: Draw and Under 2.5 Goals - 4/1 with Betway
- Juventus v Fiorentina: Both Teams to Score - 7/4 with Karamba
The battle for European places and the relegation fight in Serie A are both set to go right down to the wire, with the table becoming very congested at both ends leaving plenty of intrigue and value to be found over the final six rounds of action.
Juventus may have crashed out of Europe this week, but they are still on the brink of securing an unprecedented eighth consecutive league title, their grip over the rest of Italian football unrelenting and seemingly unbreakable.
They will be looking to bounce back from the loss to Ajax when they welcome long-standing rivals Fiorentina to Turin on Saturday, while Inter take on AS Roma later that same day in a match which could have huge ramifications on the race for a top four berth.
Matias Vecino said this week after third-placed Inter opened up a five-point gap on the chasing pack. "We have a decent advantage but it’s a direct match-up now against Roma. We need to win that in order to get closer to our goal.”
Victory would undoubtedly be a huge boost, but Claudio Ranieri will be seeking to help his hometown club fight their way back into Champions League contention and knows just how tough that battle will be. "Quite honestly I think all the sides in the mix will keep going till the end," the former Leicester City boss said this week.
Inter v Roma Looks Set to Be a Tight Affair
With so much at stake, there would be no surprise if Inter’s match with Roma unfolds as a tight, tense affair at San Siro. Both teams need the points, but the home side know that if they avoid defeat they will continue to occupy third place and remain firmly in the driving seat.
Luciano Spalletti has put more focus on the team’s defence, and his efforts have been rewarded with a Serie A-best tally of 15 clean sheets. It should also be noted that there have been under 2.5 goals scored in seven of Inter's last eight home league games.
That bodes well, particularly against a Roma side who have struggled in front of goal. Leading marksman Edin Dzeko – who struck last weekend – has not scored in back-to-back games since October 2017.
Yet the Giallorossi have lost just one of their last six meetings with Inter, notching two wins and three draws in that period. A draw with under 2.5 goals is available at odds of 4/1 with Betway, an option that is well worth considering.
Expect Juventus & Fiorentina Both To Score
The history of Fiorentina’s rivalry with Juventus is a long and bitter one, the Viola supporters angered by a lost Scudetto and the sale of Roberto Baggio to the Turin giants. Every time the Viola have recorded a win over the Bianconeri, those fans rejoice at the small amount of payback they get to enjoy.
They would enjoy nothing more than delaying the Old Lady’s title celebration by another week on Saturday. However, that seems unlikely and there is little value in chasing such a result.
Recent performances do hint at a more lucrative way to approach the game at Juventus Stadium. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Fiorentina's last four Serie A away games, and even though they were held scoreless in each of their last two outings, the Viola have not gone three league games without scoring since February 2012.
Meanwhile, the Bianconeri have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven home matches in Serie A, and backing both teams to hit the net here is available at 7/4 with Karamba.
