Derby County are usually to be found hovering in or around the play-off zone towards the end of each successive campaign. This could well prove to be the case this season and Gary Rowett's men have started the campaign in decent enough fashion with seven points collected from their opening four Championship games.
The Rams kicked things off with a 1-1 draw at Sunderland and they went down 2-0 at home to Wolves in their following league outing, however since then they have grabbed back-to-back wins over Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers as well as a 1-0 win over Grimsby in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, therefore they will be confident of keeping that winning run going when they head to Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.
For their part, the Blades started life back in the second tier in excellent fashion with a 1-0 win over Brentford, however they then suffered back-to-back defeats to Middlesbrough and Cardiff City before bouncing back to beat Barnsley 1-0 in their last league outing. Chris Wilder's men were thrashed 4-1 at home to Premier League side Leicester City in the second round of the EFL Cup earlier this week and in all honesty we're less than confident of the home side's chances of bouncing back on Saturday.
Derby County will clearly have promotion on their minds this season and they have been enjoying some decent enough if not spectacular form of late. Their only defeat of the season was against title favourites Wolves earlier this month and we don't believe that the Rams will be in the mood to drop any more points this weekend.
