It’s a tough match to call on Wednesday night.
On the one hand, Tottenham Hotspur stormed back from 2-0 down to claim a 2-2 draw in Turin, with Spurs outclassing the Italian champions after getting off to the worst possible start.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team will now feel that they can finish off the job at Wembley Stadium and have two away goals under their belt which means that they have a winning position from kick-off on Wednesday night.
On the other hand, Juventus are the clean sheet kings of Europe and they are simply not allowing any team in Italy to score against them, with those two Tottenham goals sticking out like a sore thumb.
Juve scored late to claim a 1-0 win away to Lazio on Saturday and they will be confident of getting the job done, especially as they have more experience in European competition.
However, experience isn’t everything and we prefer to look at a low goal count for this game rather than trying to call things either way.
A 1-0 lead for either team will see them defend manfully, especially if it is scored by the visitors and it’s plausible to see Juventus scoring and then forming a stout defence which isn’t penetrated by Spurs.
