Following their 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough earlier this week – a result which sent the Teessiders into the Championship – Chelsea require just another three points in order to clinch a fifth Premier League title and we certainly won’t be betting against the Blues getting the job done at the Hawthorns on Friday evening.
Chelsea haven’t been beaten in their last three games against the Baggies and with the hosts losing their last three home games against Southampton, Liverpool and Leicester City, we don’t envisage the West Midlands outfit getting much joy when they face a Chelsea side which have banged in fourteen goals in their last four competitive matches.
A win by just a single goal would be enough for the visitors and with the likes of David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta unlikely to give much away at the back, manager Antonio Conte will look to Diego Costa to do the business at the other end.
Costa has hit the back of the net in all of Chelsea’s previous victories over West Bromwich Albion and with three goals in his last three Chelsea appearances, we’ll be backing him to add to the scoresheet by opening the scoring on Friday evening.
As for West Brom, they will be looking to equal their best-ever finish in the top-flight and they need just another five points before the end of the season in order to manage a best-points tally. Nevertheless they are winless in their last six games and we don’t envisage the hosts adding any points to their total in this clash. As such, the visitors will head home with the win in the bag, as well as the Premier League title.
