How To Bet £20 This Weekend On The Premier League

Each week, the team at Bookmakers will provide the best tips on how to spend £20 on the Premier League. This week, we have picked out four bets that we think are worth considering from this weekend's action in the top flight.

Manchester City's title defence has got off to a perfect start with maximum points from their opening two games. Arsenal are second in the table, also with six points after recording back-to-back wins over Crystal Palace and Leicester.

Manchester United are one of three teams waiting for their first point of the season. It's been a dreadful start for Erik ten Hag and hopes of a top four finish are beginning to fade. Everton and West Ham are also without a point after their first two games of the season. Check out our selections below and if you have a free bet to use this weekend, why not try it on one of them.

The one thing we have learned from watching Aston Villa matches so far this season, is to stay until the final whistle. Their opening two games have seen a total of five goals scored, and three of them have come in the final 10 minutes.

Bournemouth's second goal in a 2-0 win at Villa Park was scored in the 80th minute before last weekend's game at home to Everton produced a second Villa goal four minutes from time. A minute later, the visitors scored a consolation goal.

On Saturday, Steven Gerrard's side travel to Crystal Palace, who conceded an 85th minute own goal in their 2-0 loss to Arsenal in their first game of the season. It's a bold call, but we are going for another late goal to be scored at Selhurst Park. If your favourite betting sites give you any free bets, why not consider this bet.

Leicester and Southampton are among teams wishing they could restart their season after taking one point each from their opening two games. The longer either side goes without a win, the shorter their odds will be to be relegated. The one consistency these two sides have to start the season is being involved in entertaining games.

Both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals has been a winning bet in each of the two games Leicester and Southampton have played so far. Sure, they can score goals, but keeping clean sheets is an issue. It's five games and counting since the Foxes last nilled an opponent, while the Saints have not kept a clean sheet in their last eight games going back to the end of last season.

With home advantage, and Jamie Vardy hoping to impress amid speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, we fancy Leicester winning with both teams to score at the King Power Stadium.

After two games of the season, many would have expected Erling Haaland to be the leading scorer, especially after scoring twice in his Manchester City debut. Haaland and the rest of the Premier League are playing catch-up to Leeds' Rodrigo.

The Spaniard scored his side's equaliser in a 2-1 win at home to Wolves in their season opener and followed that up with both goals in last weekend's 2-2 draw at Southampton.

Rodrigo comes up against Chelsea's defence on Sunday in what will be Leeds' biggest test of the season so far. Chelsea can not afford to drop points if they are to secure a top four finish. If Leeds are to score against Thomas Tuchel's side, then the chances are that it will be Rodrigo to make his mark, again.

It's still early in the season, but defending champions Manchester City sit top of the table with a maximum six points from their first two games. City, who will be looking to win multiple trophies this season, has won their last five meetings with the Magpies by a combined score of 20-3, but Eddie Howe's Newcastle are a tougher team to beat these days.

We're going for Pep Guardiola's side to make it three wins from three, but we expect Newcastle will want to put in a performance and send a message to the rest of the league that they should be talked about for a top four finish. So City to win and over 3.5 goals looks a great bet.

The final game of the weekend takes place at Old Trafford where basement side Manchester United take on last season's runners-up Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp's side has dominated recent meetings with their north west rivals, winning both meetings last season 4-0 at Anfield in April and 5-0 at Old Trafford last October.

United have looked awful in defeats to Brighton and Brentford which has increased the pressure on manager Erik ten Hag, who wants his team to play the ball out from the back. That was their problem against Brentford and if they persist with this tactic, Liverpool has the players to make them pay.

The pressure is already on ten Hag and he needs a win to move away from the top of the next manager to be sacked market. If Brentford can beat United by four goals, then why can't Liverpool?
