Tote World Pools Set To Bulge At Ascot This Weekend

Tote World Pools Set To Bulge At Ascot This Weekend

The Tote World Pools is in action this weekend at Ascot for the QIPCO King George Diamond day, so expect Tote pools betting to reach monumental levels once again. The Tote is one of the most famous sports betting brands in the world and the World Pool will be in action across the Win and Place markets as well as the exotic markets like the Tote Swinger, Exacta and Trifecta.

This all means that the dividends associated with these popular bets will have huge pots given the availability to bet into them from overseas as racing fans will pit there wits against punters from all across the globe. Getting access to the tote pools is as simple as setting up an account with the Tote ahead of the racing getting underway.

As recently as British Champions day the Tote pool dividends beat the SP of five of the six winners across the card and with overseas bettors tending to underestimate the local runners and the usual UK and Irish backers preferring the home the team the difference in opinions can offer great opportunity to all involved.

King George day at Ascot is always a huge draw ahead of what is a huge week for racing fans at home and abroad with the start of the Glorious Goodwood meeting just days away alongside a huge week of mixed racing action at the Galway Festival which starts on Monday. With the competition all set for action, it makes sense to add the Tote pools and the ability to play in the World Pools to your betting armory for the racing ahead.

New customers online only. Place your first bet on racing pools for a minimum of £5 and win or lose you will receive £20 Tote Credit. £20 Tote Credit rewarded as £10 redeemable against racing bets only and £10 redeemable against UK and Irish placepot bets only. Tote Credit cannot be withdrawn, exchanged, or substituted and expires after 7 days. Qualifying bet is the first racing pool bet added to the bet-slip. Ten to Follow, virtual and football bets do not qualify. Totewin will be the qualifying bet when a Totewin and a Toteplace bet are struck at the same time. New UK & ROI customers only. 18+. Full T&Cs apply.

World Pool Markets

A full list of markets with the Tote that will apply for the World Pools are:

Win - 17.5% Takeout
Place - 17.5% Takeout
Quinella - 17.5% Takeout
Swinger / Quinella Place - 17.5% Takeout
Trifecta / Tierce - 25% Takeout
Exacta / Forecast - 19.5% Takeout
Treble - 25% Takeout

The reference to a takeout is the commission retained by the Tote on market pools. So if 1,000,000 is bet into the win market for any particular race the dividends will be decided once 17.5% of that pool is removed ( 175,000 ) and then the returns paid accordingly.

Even better for punters using the World Pool access this week via the Tote is that the Tote+ guarantee still applies on World Pool bets. So if placing your bets with the Tote on this markets you can still enjoy a ten percent uplift on winnings with successful wagers.

Do note that the placepot and other multileg bets are not part of the World Pools. Originally created by the Hong Kong Jockey Club the World Pool bringing together 20 nations as one with betting pools has already been a huge success creating massive liquidity in a style similar to the lottery everyone will be hugely familiar with.

With the Tote guarantee of matching SP or better and with the chance to maximise your returns with the huge pools on offer there is obviously a lot to like about betting into the pools where there is no maximum stake and with 17 World Pool days this year with the Tote lots of chances to try this for yourself.

Key Runners At Ascot

The feature race on Saturday has six runners at the time of writing headed by the hugely talented Westover for trainer Ralph Beckett and leading Irish jockey Colin Keane. The three-year-old colt will vie for favouritism with stall filly Emily Upjohn for Frankie Dettori and John Gosden and it will be the punters that decide closer to the off who will go off as the jolly with the markets struggling to split them right now.

World racing star Mishriff is also in the line up for the John Gosden team and with Aidan O'Brien saddling Broome, international raider and Arc winner Torquator Tasso and the quirky five-year-old Pyledriver also set to line up it's a race to savour. The quality packed 6 race card gets under way at 1.50pm on Saturday afternoon with the big race off at 3.35pm.

It's the start of a huge week of racing and with the World Pools in operation here and at Goodwood next week as well as markets across all the cards the Tote option is an interesting one to explore for racing punters.
