- The Grade 2 Towton Novices' Chase has seen two winners over the last decade (Blaklion & Bobs Worth). This race was abandoned in 2019.

Jockey Trends
- Davy Russell is the hot jockey in this race with three wins over the last 10 years.
- Barry Geraghty is next in line with two wins, one for Nicky Henderson on the aforementioned Bobs Worth and one for Rebecca Curtis on board O'Faolains Boy.
- Bryan Cooper, Nico de Boinville, Robbie Power and Harry Cobden are also worth monitoring having had previous wins in this race.
How did the trends do last year?
Topofthegame (4/1) won this renewal last year at the Cheltenham Festival for Paul Nichols, with Harry Cobden steering him home by half a length to Santini.
The eight-year-old had plenty of form heading into the race and matched many of the trends indicated by Bookmakers.co.uk.

Who Fits The Trends Best In 2020?
Battleoverdoyen for Gordon Elliott appears to fit the bill for quite a few of the trends outlined above.
The seven-year-old has started his season in supreme style and should have Davy Russell on board come March - he could end up as a big price after somewhat flopping in the Flogas Novices Chase despite that race being over too short a trip.
