Our Staking Plan and Latest Results
Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse since the start of October, these selections would have returned £719.72 profit to advised prices. (Last updated January 10, 2022)

Tip 1 - 1.30 Lingfield - Silastar
There will not be many better bred horses running today than Silastar who runs for Gary Moore in the 1.30 at Lingfield. Despite some quite poor looking form since arriving in the UK, he is out of a mare that was a Group 1 winner in France and sire Sea The Stars has a particularly good record with his progeny on the all weather. He is bred to need at least 1m 2f and therefore it was no surprise to see him look one paced when last seen in December over a mile.
That was still the best effort he has shown from three starts in England, but there have been excuses on the other two occasions, namely the ground and running over hurdles. Based on breeding, he should be rated a great deal higher than 67 and this is the lowest grade race that he has contested. I like the fact that Shane Kelly keeps the ride as he will know the horse better than his latest run and it would be no surprise to see a better effort today and even more so if the money comes.

Tip 2 - 3.50 Wincanton - Magistrato
When making his debut for Paul Nicholls, Magistrato looked to have the jumping world at his feet as he bolted up by 12 lengths, and in doing so, beat a useful 117 rated animal with comparative ease. He then finished fourth in a triumph hurdle trial at Cheltenham which at the time looked quite disappointing. That form looks a lot stronger now as the winner Knight Salute is rated 135 and looks a genuine Cheltenham festival contender whilst the third has won by 21 lengths since. Nicholls then took him back to Chepstow for the Finale Junior hurdle where he got stuck in the mud.
I will forgive any horse a poor run, especially in extremes of conditions and you could argue that he may be a better horse on better ground and with a flatter track, despite winning at Chepstow. He finds his handicap mark has been dropped from an initial 131 to 123 and as a four-year-old, gets a whopping 13lb weight for age allowance from the majority of the field. He can take a keen hold so the fact that there are at least two, maybe three fancied horses that like to race prominently, could help him to settle and may get the race run to suit.
New customers only, min deposit and bet £10 (£20 if E/W bet) from UK Debit card only. Paypal not accepted. Min odds evens (1/5 per multi selection). T&Cs apply.

Tip 3 - 4.10 Catterick - Blue Hawaii
I had my fingers burned on Blue Hawaii last time in bad ground at Kelso, but she travelled into the race ominously well. She made her challenge away from the principals, which may have been to her disadvantage, and she didn't get home in the ground. The handicapper has since dropped her another pound in the weights to a mark of 98 which looks a very competitive mark indeed and the drop in trip to just under two miles looks to suit.
She has only raced around Catterick on one occasion which resulted in a win and she has also won on her only run when ground conditions were described as good (as today). Having spent the majority of her career running in Class 3 and Class 4 races, she tackles Class 5 company and if she is to win another race, it maybe that today is that day.

Tip 4 - 4.30 Kempton - Butcherofstockholm (EW)
With the greatest of respect to connections of the horses in the opener at Kempton, it will not take a great performance to prevail. Axel Jacklin is rightly prominent in the betting as he is one of the few that has winning form. In fact, he has won six races, which from 39 runs is a decent wins to runs ratio for a lowly rated horse. My potential issue is that despite loads of all-weather runs, he has been kept away from Kempton and has only actually raced right handed around a turning track twice which both resulted in wide margin defeats. I may be reading something into nothing, but as he takes up such a large market share, it is worth looking elsewhere.
Despite a poor set of form figures, I was drawn to Butcherofstockholm at an each way price. She had no right to finish as close as she did last time when looking in desperate need of this extra furlong. She is rated just 44 and was running against much higher rated horses from a lot worse off at the weights and she showed her first glimmer of promise, albeit at a modest level. She has had very few chances in comparison to a lot in this field and Robyn Brisland does well with the ammo that he gets. She is worse off again today with some of her rivals, than if it was a handicap, but Grace McEntee takes off a further 3lb and it is not in any way as large a gap than she faced last time. Her sire Toronado does well with his progeny at Kempton and has a double figure level stakes profit with his runners. She may fall out the back of the television, but it would be no surprise to me if she runs a lot better than her price suggests.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For the last month the selections on the daily horse racing tips page have generated 83.24pts profit at a level 1pt stake per selection. So at £1 per bet that would have returned over £83 in profit. At £10 that is a profit of £830.24.
Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?
The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV ( or ITV 4 ) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
