Daily Horse Racing Betting Tips
Tip 1 - 2.05 Haydock - Milltown Star
At around the 8/1 mark, Milltown Star looks like a decent bet. The 3-year-old certainly has acquitted himself well in his career thus far, achieving a three-figured rating after a French Listed race win on his final juvenile start and I thought both of his runs since have been positive. Both came at 7f, where he has posted his peak efforts to date, but they hinted that going up in trip to a mile could bring about even more improvement. If it does, he should be mixing it with the best of these.

Tip 2 - 3.35 Newmarket - Bell Rock
Bell Rock is where my dart has landed in a typically competitive renewal of the Cambridgeshire handicap. Despite only seven starts, the handicapper is probably happy with where the 4-year-old lies on the ratings board but when it comes to contests like this, having a horse who is ideally suited to a cavalry charge sure helps and I think he could be one of those. He also has some brilliant course form in the book, goes well fresh and looks to have an optimal high draw (last 4 winners from 21 or higher).

Tip 3 - 4.40 Newmarket - Vale Of Kent
In a race that looks to lack strong pace influences, Vale Of Kent is interesting if sent forward. The talented Mark Johnston inmate has done himself no favours with the assessors and always throws in a run to keep them in fear of dropping him, but he’s down to 104 again and it’s more workable than what he was trying to defy on all of his other handicap starts this term. Recent All-Weather outings can be struck off and back on turf in what seems a suitable contest, he’s set for a good spin.

Tip 4 - 5.40 Ripon - Mark’s Choice
Mark’s Choice is worth another go back at Ripon after flopping three days ago in an odd race at Redcar. It turned out that nothing had a chance of living with the winner, who ran a solo on the nearside rail, and there’s more value in watching those who finished in behind than the victor himself. As a two-time course winner, he’ll enjoy coming back here, the step up to 6f isn’t going to be a problem and he’s 11lbs below last June’s C&D win. If the ability is still in the locker, it should come out today.
